 Training Questions

 

[expand title=”What can I expect during a training session“]Your trainer will discuss the issues and goals you have and assist you in finding an approach that works for you and your family. Your trainer will observe your dog’s behavior and walk you through training techniques that you can use with your dog to correct the behavior. Your trainer will also send a follow up email outlining the instructions from the session and any homework that you and your dog should be working on.[/expand]
[expand title=”Will I need any special training tools?“]After you make your appointment, your trainer will email you instructions about the setting and tools needed for the training session (example: facing a door, backyard, large room, treats and tools needed).[/expand]
 


 Technical Questions


[expand title=”Is my internet connection fast enough to use iTrain?“]
In order for us to have a quality training session with you, you will need an internet connection with consistent download speeds of at least 15 Mbps. If you’re not sure how fast your internet connection is, you can run a free check here.

We also offer phone consultations for those whose internet connection is not fast enough for Skype.

[/expand][expand title=”Do I need to install any programs on my computer to use iTrain?“]
If you do not already have Skype installed, you will need to download and install Skype. Skype is free and easy to set up.

[expand title=”What equipment do I need to use iTrain?“]

A computer, a tablet, or a smart phone with:

  • Skype installed
  • a microphone (built into the device or external)
  • a camera (built into the device or external) that can be positioned in a good location for training sessions.

All devices must use a connection with consistent download speeds of at least 15 Mbps, to ensure a reliable connection for the training session. If you’re not sure how fast your internet connection is, you can run a free check here.

We also offer phone consultations for those whose internet connection is not fast enough for Skype.

[expand title=”What if I have problems with setting up Skype?“]
If you do not use Skype on a regular basis, we highly recommend that you use Skype with a friend in order to test your microphone and camera before your Skype consultation with iTrain. Issues with setting up Skype and/or device will be counted as part of the session time. You can also check out Skype’s website for help setting up.

[expand title=”What if I have problems with my internet connection?“]
We will reschedule sessions free of charge in the rare incident that the internet connection is lost and we can not complete the session. For slow connections on the client’s end or issues with the client’s device, we will not refund the session charge. We strongly advise testing out your device and connection in the setting that you will be conducting training sessions in, well before your session starts.[/expand]

 [expand title=”What is your cancellation policy?“]You may cancel your appointment without charge, if you cancel at least 24 hours before the appointment. If cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment, no refund will be given.[/expand]
